M.D. Nuclear Medicine or Doctor of Medicine in Nuclear Medicine is a three year postgraduate Medicine course. Nuclear medicine is a branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose and determine the severity of or treat a variety of diseases, including many types of cancers, heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, neurological disorders and other abnormalities within the body. Nuclear medicine uses very small amounts of radioactive materials (radiopharmaceuticals) to diagnose and treat disease. Nuclear medicine is a safe, painless, and cost-effective way of gathering information that may otherwise be unavailable or require a more expensive and risky diagnostic test. 

M.D. Nuclear Medicine Eligibility

  • MBBS with minimum 55% marks.
  • Some reputed colleges and institutes do conduct entrance examination to get admission to Degree course.
