M.Pharm. Pharmacology or Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacology is a postgraduate Pharmacy course. Pharmacology is the science or study of drugs: their preparation and properties and uses and effects. The course is designed to provide a basis for making clinical decisions in the pharmacologic management of commonly occurring health problems of primary care patients. It also describes the areas like indications, rationale, efficacy and risks for commonly prescribed medications in primary care settings, appropriate strategies for monitoring the expected effects and potential adverse effects of medications prescribed. It is two years duration course and career offering in nature.

M.Pharm. Pharmacology Eligibility

  • Candidates those who have passed Bachelor of Pharmacy Program with not less than 50% of marks, of any recognized University or any other Institute equivalent thereto the University, are eligible for admission to the Master of Pharmacy Programs.
  • The marks of admission for this course may vary from University to University.
  • In various colleges and Universities it conducts entrance exams (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) plus interview for the admission of the students.
