Armed Forces Medical College Exam AFMC Entrance Exam 2015(AFMC)
AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) is a medical college located in Pune, state of Maharashtra in India. Armed Forces medical college is managed by the Indian Armed Forces.

Admission to Post Graduate seats of Armed Forces Medical Services will be based on All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE - 2015).
Candidates appearing for the AIPGMEE – 2015 and wishing to join the Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions will also have to mandatorily apply online to the AFMS on the website www.afmcdg1d.gov.in

AFMC was affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. And armed Forced medical College is recognized by the Medical Council of india.
The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) will accept the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination 2015 (AIPGMEE 2015) scores for admission to their Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Master of Surgery (MS)/Diploma courses.
Students need to register separately at the institute, other than registering for AIPGMEE 2015. Selection and final admissions will be done as per the decision of AFMC, based on the merit of candidates.
The AIPGMEE is an all-India eligibility-cum-ranking medical entrance examination conducted by NBE. It is held as a single entrance examination for admission into all India 50 per cent quota in Doctor of Medicine/Master of Surgery/Post Graduate (MD/MS/PG) in medical programmes offered by government-run medical colleges as well as institutes in all states, excluding Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS TO APPEAR IN THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION GENERAL:
A candidate seeking admission to the MBBS course is eligible to take the entrance examination if he/she fulfills the following criteria:
A candidate should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.
Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence
Must have attained the age of 17yrs on 31st Dec of the year of application, but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date(Not more than 24 years in case of candidates who have passed or are appearing in final B Sc examinations).
Candidate must have passed all the subjects opted for in the first attempt of the qualifying examinations as a regular candidate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects.
They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the 10th standard.
Admission to MBBS course in Armed Force Medical College is based on an objective type written examination.
Negative Marking : Each question scored 2.0 marks and there will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer.

AIPGMEE 2015 will be conducted from : December 1 to December 6, 2014
AFMC entrance examination is conducted in all over India in 28 places. Selection in AFMC is followed by an interview and then final selection done.
Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) conducts a national level entrance test for the selection of candidates to the MBBS course.
Exam centers would be in major cities like Kolkota, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, etc.
Exam center can be chosen by the candidate according to their convenience/preference.
This must be done at the time of submission of application, in which one can give three different choices of exam centers.
Number of seats:
Total seats in AFMC are 130.Out of which 105 for boys & 25 for girls in 2014 academic session.
Out of 130 seats 10 seats are reserved for candidates belonging scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes.
Qualifying examination for admission to AFMC Pune will be AIPMT – 2015 examination to be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and also apply AFMC Pune.
Method of selection :
Method of selection depends on rank in AIPMT 2015 and Merit prepared by AFMC 2015.
Interview of shortlisted candidates :
The shortlisted candidates must be called for Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning and Psychological assessment which is computer based test and consists of 40 Multiple Choice Questions that is completed in 30 minutes.
After that candidates passed in this test, must called for Interview which is held at AFMC in Pune.
