Exam details

The all India Entrance Test 2015 ( referred as AIET 2015 is conducted for selection of candidates for admission to various Health Science Courses conducted in constituent colleges of this University, situated in its campus at Nerul, Navi Mumbai, 400706, 
The Medical & Dental College are recognized by the Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India respectively.
The Medium of Instruction for all courses is English.
M.B.B.S ( Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of surgery ) - Four & half years and one year internship 
B.D.S ( Bachelor of Dental Surgery ) - Five Years
An Admission Committee of the university steers the management of the admission process. The Admission Committee will be responsible for conduct of the entrance test, declaration of results, counseling and Final admission to the courses. 

Constituent Colleges :

  • Dr. D.Y.Patil Medical College, Navi Mumbai : M.B.B.S. : 150 Intake capacity.
  • Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital : B.D.S. : 100 Intake capacity.


Eligibility crieteria

Candidates satisfying the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for AIET 2015
1. Candidates must be Indian National. The Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid Passport shall constitute proof of Nationality.

2. The candidate should have born on or before 31.12.1997

3. Candidate should have passed H.S.C. (10 + 2) or equivalent examination from a Recognized Board with English securing minimum 50% marks (40% for all categories of backward class students) in the aggregate of the subjects namely, Physics,
Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) for admission to MBBS / BDS. The Backward class candidates must attach copy of the Caste Certificate and Caste Verification Certificates along with the application.

Candidates who have appeared for H.S.C. or equivalent examination and whose results will be declared before the dates of Counseling will also be eligible to appear at AIET 2015
Exam pattern

The AIET 2014 will be of three hours duration. 

There will be one question paper at the Entrance Test in English medium containing 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs), 50 each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. 

Each correct answer carries one mark. 

There is no negative marking. 

Other details regarding model question paper, specimen answer sheet, method of making answers etc. are given separately in prospectus. 

However, syllabus can be downloaded from the University website.

How to apply

About Registration : 

AIET 2015 Application forms are required to be submitted ON LINE by visiting University Web Site under section All India Entrance Test 2015 .

Instructions For Filling the On Line Application form :

1. Candidates are advised to retain with them a print out of the application form Candidates can take a print out of form from our web site by entering transaction id number and date of birth. 
2. type in capital letters only and tick the appropriateboxes. 
3. Select option for the Test Centre city carefully. . 
4. Ensure that the candidate’s name and date of birth are the same as those mentioned in their High School or Board certificates. 
5. Fill the application form completely. Incomplete application forms will be rejected . 
6. Application Form after submission cannot be edited or altered therefore check all the fields and then press submit.
7. Please read instructions for filling up application form available on the web site.
Hall Ticket : 
The Hall Ticket is very important. This will be issued based upon the candidate’s submitting the form complete in all respects before the
last date for submission of application form. The hall ticket will be issued only after receipt of registration fees specified for the exam. 
Since the Hall Ticket is an important document, candidates must not tamper with the same or make any changes in the entries made by the AIET Coordinator . The Hall Ticket must be produced at the time of entering the Examination Hall at the centre and later, when necessary, and also at the time of counseling. The Hall Ticket is not transferable to any other person. 
The Hall Ticket of the applicant will be dispatched by EMAIL only. 
The annual tuition fees, development fees and other fees payable by the candidates admitted to various courses is as follows.
A) GENERAL CATEGORY : Tuition Fees per annum for the year 2015-16.
1. MBBS : 8,50,000/-
2. BDS : 5,50,000/-
B) FN/PIO/NRI CATEGORY : Tuition Fees per annum for the year 2015-16. 
1. MBBS : 30,000 $
2. BDS : 12,000 $
Important dates
The Last date for On Line registration of Application Forms : 12th May 2014 up to 5.00 PM IST
Registration of Application With Late fee of Rs.500/- : 15th May 2014 up to 5.00 PM
Date and Time of Entrance Test Examination : Monday, 19th May 2014 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM ( IST )
Announcement of Results : Date of Result and Result both will be declared only on the University web site.


Exam centers

The AIET 2015 shall be conducted at the following cities:
1. Navi Mumbai
2. Mumbai
3. Pune (Ambi, Talegaon)
4. New Delhi

The address of the Examination Centre assigned to a candidate will be given in the Hall Ticket. No request for change of centre mentioned in the application form shall be entertained.

Admission procedure
Candidates who secure the minimum 50% marks at AIET 2015 and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils shall be eligible for admission to MBBS /BDS in Courses would be offered provisional admission to these on the basis of their interse merit at the time of Counseling.
The Counseling schedule will be displayed along with result on the web site of University i.e www.dypatil.ac.in 
Call Letters will not be sent to the candidates. Thephysical presence of the candidate at the counseling is essential. If a candidate is unable to present himself / herself for counseling on account of unavoidable circumstances, he /she may authorize another individual to represent him / her. 
The said representative must carry with him / her authorization from the candidate in the format given in the prospectus (Annexure I). Bring all the original documents for verification and pay the fees immediately if the candidate is found eligible and offered admission. Absence of the candidate / representative at the indicated time and date will result in instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for admission and the University will not be responsible for this.
Candidates will have to attend counseling according to the published Merit list. At the counseling , the eligibility of the candidates for shall be verified from the original documents and those found eligible will be offered provisional admission. The admission to various courses will be offered on the basis of inter-se-meritof the candidates.
Only the candidate and the authorized representative will be allowed in the counseling Hall. Asking a candidate to report for counseling does not mean that he / she will be admitted to the courses. The actual admission will depend upon the number of seats available when his / her turn comes in order of his /her inter-se-merit.
Candidates will have to report for counseling at their own cost. 
Documents to be brought at the time of Counseling :

 1. S.S.C /Equivalent Examination mark statement & Certificate 

 2. H.S.C./Equivalent Examination mark statement & Certificate 

 3 AIET 2015 Marks Printout from University Web site

 4. Bonafide and character certificate from the Head of Institution last attended 

 5. Leaving / Transfer certificate from the institute last attended 

 6. Nationality Certificate 

 7. Backward class Caste & Caste Verification certificate 

 8. Affidavit in the format as per Annexure III signed by You and countersigned by you parent / guardian in the presence of Notary Public on a stamp paper. 

 9. Passport (in case of foreign Nationals I Wards of Persons of  Indian Origin / Wards of Non Resident Indians) and affidavit that fees will be paid from a Particular account till the course is completed. This affidavit could be given by spouse / brother / sister/ I son / daughter in the presence of Notary Public on a stamp paper. 

 10. Physical Fitness certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner as per Annexure IV. 

 11. Documents in Support of eligibility for Dr.D.Y.Patil Merit-cum- Means Scholarship mentioned in para 13.
