Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test 2014(UPCMET)
The Uttar Pradesh Common Medical Entrance Test (UPCMET) is conducted by U.P Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association (UPUMCWA). This UPUMCWA conducts this exam on behalf of the eleven non-minorities unaided medical colleges of U.P part of the association. This exam is held for taking admission to the first year of Bachelor in Medicine, Bachelor in Surgery (MBBS) in the eleven participating colleges.
This exam is conducted at the national level in about seventeen centers across the country. Admission to the participating colleges will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the UPCMET 2013. The candidates will have to answer two papers compulsory. The UPCMET is conducted every year.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 level examination of UP Board / ISC / CBSE or its equivalent from any recognised Board / University with English as a subject; securing minimum 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) marks on average in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (including practical examination) taken together.
Candidates appearing in 10+2 examination of 2013 are also eligible to appear in entrance test but at the time of counseling they have to produce the passing marksheet of 10+2 examination, failing which no allotment of seats will be made.
Age Limit :
To appear in the Entrance Examination candidate should have completed 17 years as on 31st December, 2014.
Admission is open to all citizen of India.
The UPCMET 2014 will have two papers.
Paper 1 will assess the knowledge of the candidates on the subjects of Physical and Biological sciences. This paper is for 200 marks and duration of two and a half hours.
Paper 2 will assess the knowledge of the candidates on the subject of General English. This paper is for 50 marks and duration of half an hour.
If the candidate marks the wrong answer, ¼ of the marks will be deducted.
If more than one answer is marked in the OMR sheet, that particular question will be marked wrong.

The filled in application form should be submitted with a DD of Rs. 1000/-drawn in favor of ‘UPUMCWA’ payable at Bareilly.
The application form and the information brochure can also be obtained through post from “The Coordinator UPCMET - 2013, First Floor, Anand Ashram Complex, Rampur Garden, Bareilly - 234 001” by sending DD of Rs. 1050/- in favor of “UPUMCWA” payable at “Bareilly” along with two self addressed stickers.
The application form and the information brochure can be bought from the selected branches of Oriental Bank of Commerce or the counters of the participating member colleges on cash payment of Rs. 1000/-.
The last date for submitting the filled in application form is April 30, 2014.
