About Annoor Dental College and Hospital

Annoor Dental College & Hospital, Muvattupuzha was founded in the year 2003 by Late, Janab T. M. Seethy Haji, who was an illustrious and industrious business person hailing from Muvattupuzha. He enjoyed commendable social reputation as a philanthropist and social reformer.

Besides his expertise in managing a wide range of business establishments, he had about four decades of experience in the field of education. This expertise and quest for furthering excellence in professional education persuaded him to start the dental college & hospital with the sole aim of imparting quality education in dentistry and also to provide good health and well being to all sections of the society, as the primary well being of an individual starts with good oral health.

Annoor Dental College & Hospital is to impart holistic education in a conducive learning environment through excellent faculty and adequate infrastructure and resources. The institute functions as a center of excellence for professional education, so that the graduate of the Institute not only excels in their chosen field but also develops ethical values and character to provide relief to all sections of the society, irrespective of cast and creed.

Prosthodontics

Course Information
The Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree provides graduate training in different disciplines in dentistry. The aim of each discipline programme is to prepare graduate students to become registered dental specialists. The programmes foster development of critical analysis, research skills, and advanced clinical skills that will be recognised for specialist registration.
The programmes prepare students to be both practitioners and advisory consultants in their chosen areas of specialisation. Within each programme, papers on research methods and practice, advanced clinical science, and advanced clinical practice are included.

Because of the different training requirements for registration in each area of specialisation, the programme entry requirements and lengths vary.

Students under this quota are selected through Common Entrance Test conducted by the Controller of Examination. Balance 50 % of the seats are allotted under the Management Quota through a Common Entrance Test conducted by the All Kerala Self Financing Dental College Management Consortium.

B.D.S.(Bachelor of Dental Surgery)

Course InformationBachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree is awarded at the successful completion of four years of study and one year of internship to the students as per the old regulations of Dental council of India.
The course comprises didactic lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, seminars, clinical work and conferences.

The aim and objective of the curriculum is to produce a dentist who is socially acceptable and is able to work safely and effectively on patients in diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and oral disease.
