The Podikunju Musaliar Memorial Charitable & educational Trust was registered in the year 2001 and the first venture of the trust is the Azeezia Dental College, which had commenced in the year 2005 with an intake capacity of 40 students per year. In the year 2010 , the intake capacity is enhanced to 100 per year. The college got recognized by the DCI and Govt of India and subsequently MDS courses wise acted in 6 major departments, total 18 seats per year. Azeezia College of Dental Sciences & Research got the Certificate of Appreciation given by Indian Prosthodontics Society (IPS).

A dental surgeon is a registered health care professional who has attained a degree in B.D.S. On qualification they will work to standards set and regulated to provide preventive and restorative treatments for patients that affect the mouth, teeth, head and neck. Dental surgeons work closely with patients and develop a high standard of professional responsibility, delivering oral health care to the community within a team environment.
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS Course) is divided into 5 years of training and one year of compulsory rotatory internship. The students are taught the basics of medicine and they would be dealt in depth with various aspects of dentistry, including dental materials, dental anatomy, oral histopathology, oral pathology, community dentistry, pedodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, conservative endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine and radiology, ortho dental and dentofacial.
The candidates should fulfil the following minimum conditions to become eligible for admission to BDS course :
1.He/She must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the corresponding year. The age shall be determined as per entry in the Matriculation/Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination certificate.
2.The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (45% for Physically handicap and 40% for SC/BC candidates).
