About Al Ameen College of Pharmacy

Established under the aegis of the Al-Ameen Educational Society in 1983, the College has been a nurturing ground for pharmaceutical professionals. In recognition of the excellence of its educational standards, the Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy has been accredited for 5 years by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE.

In keeping with its objective of providing the best possible pharmaceutical education, the College has built up a strong infrastructure. This comprises of highly knowledgeable faculty, most of whom hold doctorates and facilities that enable students to gain a contemporary education. Continuous interaction with industry is maintained to ensure that the learning program remains relevant to the changing trends in pharmaceuticals.

The College is constantly seeking to upgrade the quality of its education and actively participates in research to remain on the cutting edge. Collaborations with foreign universities are also being planned with this objective. Plans are also afoot to establish pilot manufacturing and testing units to enable students to gain an even more hands-on education.

The College through continuous up-gradation is endeavouring to become a ‘Continuous education centre’, where new knowledge pertaining to the pharma field is generated on a regular basis.

B Pharm (B Pharmacy)

Course InformationThe course of B.Pharma will extend over a period of four academic years. The curricula and syllabi for the course will be prescribed from time to time by RGUHS.

The course of study of B.Pharma I, II, III and Final year will include the respective theory and practical subjects as given in the tables below. The number of hours to be devoted to each theory, tutorial and practical sublects in an academic year will not be less than that noted below.

Course InformationThe Course comprises of 2 parts :

Part I- 3 Specialized and 1 common subject.
Part II- Dissertation work

Eligibility Criteria(M.Pharma) A post graduate course run by AACP and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The requirement for admission is a B.Pharm from any recognised university of India with a minimun of 55% marks (aggregate of 4 years).

For SC/ST Category-I candidates, the prescribed percentage of marks will be 50% of the maximun marks in the qualifying examinations.

Further, Pharmacy teachers having recognised B.Pharma qualification and with minium of 5 years of teaching experience in an institution approved ay AICTE and PCI will be eligible provided they have scored not less than 50% of the maxinum marks (Aggreate of 4 years).

Diploma(Pharm D)

Course InformationThe course of academic training is of 2 years duration with minimum of 180 working days per year followed by a practical training not less than 500 hours covered in around 3 months.
The course of study in Diploma in Pharmacy comprises of Part-I and Part-II. There shall be an examination in the first year on the subjects of Part-I and an examination in the second year comprising the Part-II subjects.
